Kim Bailey is a pro at finding the right home for a client.
“I thoroughly enjoy showing people houses and finding the right fit for them,” Kim said. “I like helping people find their dream beach home.
But she also loves working for the seller to properly market a property.
“I am a very visual person,” said Kim, who became an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) in 2015.
Kim has a background in retail management, having managed a women’s apparel store. She said she traveled to other stores in the chain and organized their displays and floor layouts.
“I am passionate about staging,” she said.
Staging is making properties look like a great place to live so that they show well.
“I do what I know needs to be done to sell a house,” Kim said.
She said it can be simple things such as opening blinds or moving pillows.
“Accessories in a house make a huge difference,” she said.
Or it can be more in depth such as moving furniture around.
“I open it up and make it light and bright,” she said, adding that she is very successful holding open houses. “You want to present the house in the best possible way.”
Kim grew up in Galloway Township and spent summers on the beach and Boardwalk in Ocean City, which created a lifelong love for the shore and a thorough knowledge of the island.
Born in September 1964, she graduated from Absegami High School in 1982. Later in life, seeking financial independence, she earned her real estate license from Cape Atlantic School of Real Estate in 2014, and a Certified Pricing Strategies Advisor (CPSA) in 2016.
Kim has worked in real estate since 2014 and with The Grisbaum Group since February 2016.
Prior to working in real estate, she lived on 5 acres in Cumberland County, where she raised her son and worked part-time as a physical therapy aid, assisting patients with their exercises.
Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her son, Jared, walking on the beach, riding bikes, going the movies and reading. She and Jared are avid NASCAR fans and New York Giants fans.
